About the walk
Be part of an understanding community - walking together to support each other, honour loved ones lost and injured, and advocate for road safety.
The Shine a Light on Road Safety walk is at 11am on Sunday 5 May 2024.
It's a family day with food trucks and entertainment from 10am.
The walk is 5km around Albert Park Lake - there is a 2km option, or you are welcome to sit back and enjoy a coffee and chat in the marquee seating.
Wear your brightest clothes or your loved ones' favourite colours and your yellow cap to help raise awareness of road safety. Find out more about the walk here.
The difference you will make
Shine a Light on Road Safety is about igniting hope, connecting with others and creating positive change.
This year our fundraising goal is to raise $100,000 to grow our amazing road safety programs.
Participants talk about the impact and ‘why’ they walk.
We’re asking YOU to be the light that shines brightest.
Road trauma affects not just the individual, the ripple effect impacts their family, friends, work colleagues, social and sporting clubs and whole communities.
